To implement the requirements of the special initiative Visiting Enterprises to Expand Employment Opportunities issued by the Ministry of Education and further deepen the industry-education integration and collaborative talent cultivation mechanism, on April 19, Professor He Bingqiang, Doctor Li Chao and Doctor Wang Haitao from the major of Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation paid a visit to Yangjiang Guanghai Machinery Co., Ltd. and Yangdong Guohao Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Yangjiang City. They carried out the special activity of visiting enterprises to expand posts, aiming to further strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, broaden employment channels for graduates, and boost their high-quality and full employment.
Yangjiang Guanghai Machinery Co., Ltd. specializes in the production and sales of hardware knife and scissors machinery & accessories, hardware knives and scissors, metal products, plastic products, power tools and garden machinery, as well as import and export of goods and technologies. With years of in-depth development in the hardware knife and scissors machinery industry, the enterprise boasts a comprehensive business scope. Its products well meet domestic market demands and are actively marketed overseas, enjoying high visibility and influence across the industry.
During the visit, accompanied by person-in-charges of the two enterprises, Professor He and his team toured the office areas and production workshops. They gained an in-depth understanding of the enterprises’ development history, operational status, product features and talent demands. Enterprise leaders fully introduced their business scope and talent recruitment needs, and put forward practical suggestions on optimizing curriculum design to align with job requirements and adjusting professional talent training orientations.
Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on further in-depth school-enterprise cooperation. Centering on two-way supply-demand docking, they explored the optimization of majors and courses tailored to corporate needs to enhance targeted talent cultivation. In terms of joint talent training, cooperation models including order-based training and joint construction of internship and training bases were proposed to offer students more practical opportunities and improve their practical capabilities and professional literacy. For joint research, both parties agreed to leverage the university’s scientific research strengths and the enterprise’s practical production advantages to carry out collaborative research projects, so as to drive technological innovation and industrial upgrading.
This activity enhanced mutual understanding between the university and enterprises, laying a solid foundation for long-term cooperation. Strengthened school-enterprise cooperation enables enterprises to acquire more high-quality talents to fuel development, while providing graduates with high-quality jobs to facilitate high-quality employment. Moving forward, both sides will further deepen cooperation, explore innovative talent training models, and achieve mutually beneficial and win-win development.
